    The “Study of Value of Lost Load (VoLL) in electricity supply”-commissioned to a consultant and published today by the Agency- takes into account both a production-function approach through publicly available data and web-based surveys for domestic and non-domestic consumers. It presents the methodology for further development of VoLL and estimates of VoLL for each Member State for potential use in, for example, the assessment of new infrastructure’ benefits.

  • Christine Lagarde Appoints Gita Gopinath As IMF Chief Economist

    International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde appointed Gita Gopinath on Monday as Economic Counsellor and Director of the IMF’s Research Department. Ms. Gopinath will succeed Maurice (Maury) Obstfeld, who announced in July that he would retire at the end of 2018. Ms. Gopinath currently serves as the John Zwaanstra Professor of International Studies and Economics at Harvard University.
