  • US Agencies Issue Proposal To Streamline Regulatory Reporting For Qualifying Small Institutions

    The three federal banking agencies today invited public comment on a proposal to reduce regulatory reporting burden on small institutions by expanding the number of regulated institutions eligible for streamlined reporting. The proposal would implement section 205 of the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act.

  • CME Group Announces Launch Of Total Return Index Futures On Nasdaq-100, Russell 1000, Russell 2000, And Dow Jones Indexes

    CME Group, the world's leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, today announced it will introduce Total Return Index Futures based on the Nasdaq-100, Russell 1000, Russell 2000 and Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) indexes on Dec. 3, pending regulatory review. These new products will adhere to a quarterly listing cycle and will trade alongside CME Group's existing S&P 500 Total Return Index Futures and Carry Adjusted Total Return Index futures.

    • A new study by Element22 reveals that some asset managers are reaching an inflection point in the use of new technologies to generate alpha.
    • The study surveyed 20 asset management firms in North America and Europe with combined assets under management (AuM) of USD14.8 trillion or almost 20% of global AuM.
    • The majority of firms, 55%, are still in the early stages of a four year journey to develop mature advanced analytics and alternative data capabilities, yet today only one in ten are realizing significant success.
    • Those who are most aggressively pursuing advanced analytics and alternative data strategies are investing between 2-3% of annual revenues.
