Nasdaq Announces Mid-Month Open Short Interest Positions In Nasdaq Stocks As Of Settlement Date February 15, 2019

At the end of the settlement date of February 15, 2019, short interest in 2,360 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,638,386,123 shares compared with 7,606,776,760 shares in 2,356 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of January 31, 2019. The mid-January short interest represents 3.75 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 3.99 days for the prior reporting period.

It is good to be back at DerivCon, or should I say, SEFCON.  

Some of you may know that I had a hand in putting together the first SEFCON in 2010, along with Chris Ferreri, Julian Harding, Scott Fitzpatrick, Shawn Bernardo and Steve Merkel.  My compliments to them and the WMBAA for the foresight in creating this important conference.  And my compliments to ISDA and the Tabb Group for keeping it going.  It is remarkable that issues in SEF trading remain so topical nine years later.
