    Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE:ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of data and listings services, has appointed Mike Blandina as CEO of Bakkt, the digital assets trading and payments platform that is majority-owned by ICE. Adam White will serve as President of the company. The appointments took effect December 20, following the departure of founding CEO Kelly Loeffler, who has been appointed to the United States Senate to fill the seat of retiring Sen. Johnny Isakson.

  • CETIF – Cattolica University, SIA And Reply Launch The National Project For The Management Of Sureties Using Blockchain Technology

    The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today announced that it has extended the recognition decisions for the three central counterparties (CCPs) established in the United Kingdom (UK) to reflect the extension of the expiry date of the Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/2031 of the European Commission on the equivalence of the UK CCP legal framework.

    In November 2019, Ezpada AG (CH), Vivigas S.p.A. (IT), TP ICAP (Europe) SA (FR), Kirkesundet Kraft AS (UK), E-CO Energi AS (NO) and CEZ Trade Bulgaria EAD (BG) have been admitted to exchange trading on the EEX derivatives market for power. Ezpada AG (CH), TP ICAP (Europe) SA (FR), E-CO Energi AS (NO) an CEZ Trade Bulgaria EAD (BG) have been admitted to exchange trading on the EEX Derivatives Market for Futures and Options on Emission Rights. Additionally, TP ICAP (Europe) SA (FR) has been admitted on the EEX derivatives market for Freight Financial Futures and Options as well as futures on Agricultural products, Iron Ore and Wood Pellets. The trading participant Olam International Limited (SG) has been admitted on the EEX derivatives market for trading of Freight Financial Futures and Options. Furthermore, TP ICAP (Europe) SA (FR) has also been admitted for trading of Emission Rights (secondary market) on the EEX spot market.
