Tradeweb Posts Record Trading Volumes As Global Bond Yields Plummet

Average daily volume (ADV) across rates, credit, equities and money markets for Tradeweb Markets set a new monthly record in March, exceeding $700 billion (bn) for the first time ever. ADV for March 2019 of $709.1 bn rose 35.3 percent (%) year over year (YoY) while average daily trades totaled 51,412.

SEC Issues Agenda For April 15 Meeting Of The Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee

The Securities and Exchange Commission today released the agenda for the April 15 meeting of the Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee.  The Commission established the advisory committee to provide a formal mechanism through which the Commission can receive advice and recommendations on fixed income market structure issues.

OCC Re-elects Donohue As Executive Chairman, Elects Member And Public Directors At 2019 Stockholder Meeting

OCC, the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization, today announced the re-election of Craig S. Donohue as Executive Chairman of the Board, along with the election of three Class III Member Directors and two Class I Public Directors to its Board of Directors. The vote took place during OCC's annual stockholder meeting on April 10.

EBA Updates List Of Diversified Indices

The European Banking Authority (EBA) updated today the list of diversified indices, which was originally published in December 2013. The list is part of the implementing technical standards (ITS) drafted to calculate the capital requirements for position risk in equities according to the standardised rules. The list was updated according to the procedure and methodology laid down in the ITS and submitted to the European Commission for endorsement.
