CMPO Is Listed After Assets Restructuring And the Name Change - Shenzhen Stock Exchange Facilitates The Reform Of Central SOEs

On December 16, the Assets Restructuring and Renaming & Listing Ceremony of China Merchants Property Operation & Service Co., Ltd. (“CMPO”) was held at SZSE. The property management assets of China Merchants Group were injected into the listed company AVIC SUNDA. The stock name was officially changed from “AVIC SUNDA” to “CMPO”, and the code was changed to 001914. More than 300 leaders and guests including Chairman of China Merchants Group Mr. Li Jianhong, President of China Property Management Institute (“CPMI”) Mr. Shen Jianzhong and President & CEO of SZSE Mr. Wang Jianjun attended the listing ceremony. The restructuring is another important achievement of the continuous deepening of strategic cooperation between China Merchants Group and SZSE following the listing of CMSK, CMET and CM Port Group on SZSE. It is also an important step for the capital market to help SOEs deepen reform and support the supply-side structural reform.

US Federal Agencies Find No Deficiencies In Resolution Plans From The Largest Banks; Find Shortcomings For Several Firms

The Federal Reserve Board and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation announced Tuesday that they did not find any "deficiencies," which are weaknesses that could result in additional prudential requirements if not corrected, in the resolution plans of the largest and most complex domestic banks. However, plans from six of the eight banks had "shortcomings," which are weaknesses that raise questions about the feasibility of a firm's plan, but are not as severe as a deficiency. Plans to address the shortcomings are due to the agencies by March 31, 2020.

Samuel Lek, former Chief Executive Officer of Lek Securities Corporation (Lek Securities), has been permanently barred from the securities industry in all capacities, and Lek Securities was fined $900,000 for violating, among other things, FINRA and Exchange supervisory rules, and Rule 15c3-5 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the Market Access Rule). The actions were taken by FINRA, along with The NASDAQ Stock Market LLC, the New York Stock Exchange LLC, Cboe Global Markets, and certain of their affiliated Exchanges (collectively, Exchanges). The fine was apportioned among FINRA and the Exchanges.
