  • WCAS Completes Acquisition Of EquiLend - Private Equity Backing To Accelerate Growth Initiatives For EquiLend

    EquiLend, the global technology, data and analytics company for the securities finance industry, today announces the completion of its majority acquisition by private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS). The deal’s closure follows regulatory approval from EquiLend’s regulators in the U.S., UK and Ireland. The acquisition agreement was first announced in January 2024.

    BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) announces today the launch of the first two equities funds in its innovative Active Beta exchange-traded funds (‘ETFs’) range. BNP Paribas Easy Sustainable Japan UCITS ETF and BNP Paribas Easy Sustainable US UCITS ETF are sub-funds of the BNP Paribas Easy Irish ICAV and began listing on 03 September on Euronext Paris and will be listed later this month on Deutsche Börse Xetra.

    • Market capitalisation was $31.8 trillion at the end of August 2024, an increase of 2 per cent from $31.1 trillion at the end of July 2024.
    • The average daily turnover in August 2024 and for the first eight months was $95.5 billion and $106.8 billion respectively.
    • The average daily turnover of Debt Securities for the first eight months of 2024 was $570 million, an increase of 19 per cent when compared with $480 million for the same period last year.
    • There were 43 newly listed companies for the first eight months of 2024, an increase of 10 per cent when compared for the same period last year.

  • SET Seeks Market Consultation On Rule Amendments To Support Trading Of Vayupak Fund Until Sept. 13, 2024

    The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has sought a market consultation on proposed amendments to regulations governing the listing and trading of Vayupak One Fund (VAYU1) units. This consultation will be open for input until September 13, 2024.
