  • Nadex Temporarily Amends Binary Contracts Strike Width

    Pursuant to Section 5c(c)(1) of the Commodity Exchange Act, as amended (“Act”), and Section 40.6(d) of the regulations promulgated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (the “Commission”) under the Act (the “Regulations”), North American Derivatives Exchange, Inc. (“Nadex”, the “Exchange”) hereby provides notice that due to increased volatility in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based, Nadex made changes to the strike widths of various contracts during the week of February 8, 2021 as indicated in the Weekly Notice.

    A total turnover of 2.683 billion shares worth N23.662 billion in 27,844 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange, in contrast to a total of 2.767 billion shares valued at N29.685 billion that exchanged hands last week in 31,380 deals.

  • Nadex Refrains From Listing Certain Contracts

    Due to activity in the underlying markets upon which the Nadex contracts are based and pursuant to the authority granted in Nadex Rule 12.1(i), Nadex took the following actions: 

    • No GBP/JPY 5-Minute contracts were listed for the 6:05pm expiration time on trade date February 8, 2021. 

  • Statement From US Treasury Department Spokesperson On Secretary Janet L. Yellen’s Participation In The G7 Finance Ministers And Central Bank Governors Meeting

    Earlier today, Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen participated in a virtual meeting with G7 finance ministers and central bank governors.  Secretary Yellen emphasized the commitment of the Biden Administration to multilateralism to solve global issues, stating that the United States “places a high priority on deepening our international engagement and strengthening our alliances.”

  • ETFGI Reports Assets Invested In ETFs And ETPs Listed Globally Broke Through The US$8 Trillion Milestone At The End Of January 2021

    ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs and ETPs ecosystem, reported today assets invested in the global ETFs and ETPs industry broke through the US$8 trillion milestone at the end of January.   A record US$83.08 billion in net inflows was gathered during January, which is higher than the US$68.13 billion gathered in January 2020 but lower than the record $98.05 billion gathered in January 2018. Assets under management increased by 0.9% from US$7.99 trillion at the end of December 2020, to US$8.06 trillion at the end of January, according to ETFGI's January 2021 Global ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service.     TMX Group Limited ("TMX Group") today announced that it has closed a Canadian private placement offering (the "Offering") of C$250 million aggregate principal amount of 2.016% Series F Senior Unsecured Debentures due February 12, 2031 (the "Debentures") to accredited investors in Canada. The Debentures are direct senior unsecured and unsubordinated obligations of TMX Group and rank pari passu with all other senior unsecured and unsubordinated indebtedness of TMX Group.

  • Eurex: More Than 100,000 Contracts Traded: New Daily Record In ESG Derivatives

    Ahead of their second anniversary on 18 February, Eurex’s ESG products remain on course for success: a new daily record was set on 11 February 2021 with 104,000 contracts traded, with Options on the STOXX® Europe 600 ESG-X accounting for the majority of the contracts traded. Cumulatively, 2.1 million ESG contracts have now been traded since the launch of the first ESG derivatives in February 2019.

These “delegated operators” are recognised in the EU Electricity Regulation (EU 2019/943), the Electricity Balancing Guideline (EU 2017/2195) and the Network Code on Electricity Emergency and Restoration (2017/2196).
