The EBA Publishes Report On Member States’ Reliance On External Credit Ratings

The European Banking Authority (EBA) published today a Report, which analyses the extent to which Member States' national law relies on external credit ratings. Based on a survey among EU banking supervisors, no mechanistic reliance on external credit ratings was identified. Furthermore, using EBA supervisory reporting data, the Report shows that the use of external credit ratings in the calculation of risk-weighted exposure amounts (RWEA) under the standardised approach, and under the External Ratings Based Approach (SEC-ERBA) of the securitisation framework is limited. The EBA’s assessment will ensure a comprehensive overview of the reliance on ratings for regulatory purposes ahead of the implementation of Basel III reforms into the EU legislative framework.

Toronto Stock Exchange And TSX Venture Exchange Select IHS Markit To Provide ESG Reporting And Data Distribution Repository To 2000+ Listed Companies

IHS Markit has entered into a strategic alliance with Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) (the Exchanges) to deliver its multi framework ESG reporting and data distribution platform, ESG Reporting Repository™, to issuers listed on the Exchanges. As part of the agreement, TSX and TSXV will recommend the use of the Repository to approximately 2300 public companies listed on the Exchanges at no additional cost.

The revised Gold Futures Contract of Shanghai Futures Exchange has been accepted by the Shanghai Futures Exchange Board of Directors and reported to the China Securities Regulatory Commission. The revised Gold Futures Contract of Shanghai Futures Exchange shall take effect since May 17th, 2021.

First Batch Of Five Infrastructure Public REITs Projects Approved By CSRC For Registration

On May 17, 2021, the first batch of five infrastructure public REITs projects were approved for registration by the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), upon review and approval by the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and application for registration to the CSRC. The approval marked another milestone in the pilot process of infrastructure public REITs of the SSE.
