SIFMA Economic Roundtable Focuses On Inflation As April Headline CPI Jumped To 4.2%

Today, SIFMA unveiled the results of its biannual survey of the chief U.S. economists of 27 global and regional financial institutions. Following the anniversary of the peak of the global pandemic, focus has turned from a normalization of GDP and improving unemployment to inflation, according to the new survey.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, and the Bureau of the Fiscal Service announced today they have disbursed more than 2.3 million additional Economic Impact Payments under the American Rescue Plan.

SEC Updates List Of Firms Using Inaccurate Information To Solicit Investors

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that it updated its list of unregistered entities that use misleading information to solicit primarily non-U.S. investors, adding 55 soliciting entities, four (4) impersonators of genuine firms, and five (5) bogus regulators.
