    ETFGI, a leading independent research and consultancy firm covering trends in the global ETFs/ETPs ecosystem, reported today the Bank of Japan holds 63% of the assets invested in ETFs listed in Japan at the end of February. The ETFs industry in Japan gathered net inflows of US$669 million during February. Assets invested in the ETFs industry in Japan have decreased by 0.7%, from US$518 billion at the end of January to US$515 billion, according to ETFGI's February 2022 Japanese ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report, the monthly report which is part of an annual paid-for research subscription service. The end-of-February short interest represent 2.68 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 2.72 days for the prior reporting period.

    U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen spoke today with counterparts from the “Five Finance Ministries,” which includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.  Secretary Yellen affirmed the United States’ unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, and pledged to work with our partners to hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and illegal invasion of Ukraine.  Secretary Yellen highlighted the unprecedented and coordinated financial pressure measures from the United States and its partners and allies to level significant costs to the Russian economy and President Putin, and stressed the need for close coordination on further strong measures.
