EACH Responds To The Bank Of England Discussion Paper On The Supervisory Stress Testing Of Central Counterparties

The European Association of CCP Clearing Houses has today responded to the Bank of England Discussion Paper on the Supervisory Stress Testing of Central Counterparties. The response provides feedback based on EACH Members’ experience from several Stress-Testing exercises aimed at analysing the robustness of the European CCP system.

Joint Statement On UK-U.S. Financial Regulatory Working Group

UK and U.S. participants held the fifth meeting of the UK-U.S. Financial Regulatory Working Group (Working Group) virtually on 15 December 2021. The Working Group was formed in 2018 to deepen bilateral regulatory cooperation with a view to the further promotion of financial stability; investor protection; fair, orderly, and efficient markets; and capital formation in both jurisdictions.

EBA Will Run Its Next EU-Wide Stress Test In 2023

On 8 December 2021, the Board of Supervisors of the European Banking Authority (EBA) decided to carry out its next EU-wide stress test in 2023. This is in line with the decision to aim for a biennial exercise. This decision has been communicated to the European Parliament, the Council, and the Commission. In 2022, the EBA will perform its regular annual transparency exercise.
