The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), the EU securities regulator, today publishes its fourth annual statistical report on the Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) sector. The report covers the 30 members of the European Economic Area (EEA30) and shows that the sector increased by 8% in 2020 to EUR 5.9trn in net assets from EUR 5.5trn in 2019

Dierk Schaffer (48) was appointed Managing Director as of January 1, 2022. He is responsible for Market Risk and Control at the investment firm alongside Michael Görgens, who has been Managing Director for Markets and Services since August 2018. Michael Jaeggi will step down from the Management Board at the end of the first quarter of 2022 and focus on his duties at Boerse Stuttgart Group, Boerse Stuttgart GmbH and EUWAX AG.

Non-Jordanian Ownership In Companies Listed On The Amman Stock Exchange Reached 48.1%, Of Which 37.2% For Institutional Investors

Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) revealed that the value of shares bought by non-Jordanian investors at the ASE in January 2022 was JD11.2 million, representing 9.4% of the overall trading value, while the value of shares sold by them amounted to JD16.2 million. As a result, the net of non-Jordanian investments in January 2022 showed a negative value of JD5.0 million, whereas the net of non-Jordanian investments showed a negative value of JD1.7 million during the same month of 2021.

The European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) – EBA, EIOPA and ESMA, held their first joint high-level conference on financial education and literacy on 1 and 2 February 2022. The conference gathered high-level government representatives as well as experts from public authorities, academia, NGOs, consumer associations and the industry to raise awareness of this important topic. It also offered a forum to share ideas and best practices and to gather input from all the stakeholders on how to tackle future challenges.

As per the Securities market risk parameters methodology, on 03.02.2022, 12-45 (MSK) the upper bound of the price band (up to 100.65) and initial margins (up to 18.75 %) for the security RU000A101PD4 were changed.
