Nasdaq Dubai Welcomes Listing Of US$ 1.6 Billion Sukuk By The Islamic Development Bank

Nasdaq Dubai, the region's international financial exchange, today welcomed the listing of a US$ 1.6 billion Sukuk by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The first public Sukuk issuance from IsDB in 2022 strengthens its position as the largest supranational institution issuing Sukuk on Nasdaq Dubai with a total value of US$ 18.04 billion currently listed through 13 issuances.

The Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB), founded by the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA) to facilitate the allocation and maintenance of International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs), Classification of Financial Instrument codes (CFIs) and Financial Instrument Short Names (FISNs) for OTC derivatives, has today announced the annual OTC ISIN and CFI service provision consultation related to the 2023 service provision.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR Q1 2022
- Fee and commission (F&C) income increased by 15.1% to RUB 10,647.8 mln.
- Growth of F&C income was driven by robust trading volumes in January and February 2022. In Q2 2022, MOEX expects a meaningful decline in trading volumes that may persist in subsequent quarters.
- EBITDA rose by 17.8% to RUB 11,052.7 mln. Net profit grew by 18.5% to RUB 8,099.4 mln.

A total of 4,511 deals (comprising mergers & acquisitions [M&A], private equity, and venture financing deals) were announced in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region during Q1 2022, an increase of 11.6% over 4,042 deals announced during Q1 2021, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Chinese startups continued to raise the highest venture capital (VC) funding amount among the Asia-Pacific (APAC) countries during Q1 2022. A total of 1,006 VC funding deals were announced in China during January-March 2022 while the disclosed funding value of these deals stood at US$18.6bn, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

Chenpi is an aged dried tangerine peel used traditionally for healthcare, seasoning and cooking. The product appreciates in value as it ages with improvement in quality, intensity and flavour and is increasingly popular among the global foodie community. Chenpi’s annual production is about 3,500 tons with an estimated turnover size of USD 1B.
