Dubai Financial Services Authority Fines Director USD 240,000 And Censures Three Related Firms For Obstruction

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has today published Decision Notices taking action against Mr Stuart Coles (Mr Coles) and three related companies of which Mr Coles was the sole owner and director.  The three firms are Coworth Fintech Ltd, Coworth Investments Ltd and Novus Fintech Ltd.

• Volatility (as measured by the average daily movement in the All Ordinaries Index) was 1.1% in June, up 0.6% on pcp. 
• Future volatility (as measured by the S&P/ASX 200 VIX) in June was an average of 18.6, compared to 12.1 in the pcp.

On June 30, ISDA, the Institute of International Finance and the Global Financial Markets Association, submitted a joint response to the Financial Stability Board (FSB) on its interim report on supervisory and regulatory approaches to climate-related risks. The Associations support and welcome the FSB’s initiative in developing the report to assist supervisory and regulatory authorities in developing their approaches to climate change, focusing on cross-sectoral and system-wide aspects of climate-related financial risks.
