On November 9, 2022, the SSE Global Investors Conference 2022 kicked off in Shanghai. Fang Xinghai, Vice Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), and Wu Qing, Executive Vice Mayor of Shanghai, delivered speeches via video link. Qiu Yong, Chairman of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE), delivered a speech on site. With the theme of "Openness, Innovation and Sustainability", the conference brought together nearly 100 distinguished guests from top global investment institutions. They shared their experience of investing in the China's market with over 1,000 international investors and passed on their good expectations for China's prospects.

Europex Cautions Against Market Correction Mechanism

Europex broadly supports the European Commission’s proposal for a ‘Council Regulation on enhancing solidarity through better coordination of gas purchases, exchanges of gas across borders and reliable price benchmarks. We particularly welcome the Commission’s proposals on joint purchasing, the efficient operation of gas infrastructure and improving security of supply. The proposed instruments effectively tackle the root causes of the current energy crisis, namely the external supply shock predominantly caused by continuous cuts of Russian gas supplies to Europe.
