Shenzhen Stock Exchange Moderately Reduces The Financing Margin Ratio To Promote The Effective Functioning Of The Margin Trading And Short Selling

On August 27, 2023, with the CSRC’s approval, SZSE amended Article 4.5 of the Implementing Rules for Margin Trading and Short Selling (Revised in 2023) to reduce the financing margin ratio from 100% to 80%, which will be officially implemented from the market close of September 8. This is a concrete measure taken by SZSE to earnestly implement the CSRC’s package of policies on “activating the capital market and boosting investor confidence”.

According to the Measures for Risk Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) has decided upon discussion that from the trading on August 31, 2023 (the night trading session on August 30, 2023), the combined trading volume of opening long and short positions of any Non-Futures Company Member or client on No. 2 soybean futures contracts B2310, B2311 and B2312 is not allowed to exceed 2,000 lots separately on any single day.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged Impact Theory, LLC, a media and entertainment company headquartered in Los Angeles, with conducting an unregistered offering of crypto asset securities in the form of purported non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Impact Theory raised approximately $30 million from hundreds of investors, including investors across the United States, through the offering.
