    Electronic trading volume in currency futures at Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) rose to record monthly levels yesterday posting 180,905 contracts after just 16 days of "side-by-side" electronic and open outcry trading of its currency and cross-rate futures contracts.     The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) wishes to announce that the offices of the KLSE Group will be closed on Tuesday, 1 May 2001 in conjunction with Labour Day. The offices of the KLSE Group will resume operations on Wednesday, 2 May 2001.

  • Newcastle Stock Exchange To Launch Wine Securities Market

    The Stock Exchange of Newcastle Limited (NSX) has signed a world-first agreement with the Australian Wine Exchange Pty Ltd (AWX) for the trading of AWX listed wine securities. The first securities are expected to commence trading on the Exchange after the official launch in Newcastle in August this year.

  • HKEx: Website Publication Of All Main Board Listed Company Announcements Will Replace Paid Newspaper Advertisements Next Year

    The Securities and Futures Commission has approved amendments to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong's Main Board Listing Rules requiring all listed companies to submit a soft copy of all announcements to The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx). The announcements will be published on HKEx's website.

  • Deutsche Börse: ETF To Be Launched On The MDAX

    Deutsche Börse AG is further expanding its XTF market segment for exchange-traded index funds: A new index-tracker fund on the MDAX (WKN 593392) will be launched in XTF on Wednesday. The product is being issued by Indexchange. In addition to a total of eight index funds, private and institutional investors can also trade 11 actively managed funds in XTF in continuous trading.
