New York Stock Exchange Resumes Trading All Listed Stocks After Connectivity Loss

The NYSE resumed trading in listed stocks at 11:35 am (EST). Trading was halted at 10:10am (EST) due to a connectivity problem between data sites and the Exchange that impacted primarily small order delivery to approximately half the trading floor.

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq®) today launched its new trading system for Nasdaq Europe and announced the addition of eight market participants as investors in Nasdaq Europe S.A/N.V SM. Bernard L Madoff, BNP Paribas, CSFB, Fortis Bank, Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, and Santander Central Hispano Investment have all agreed to become investors in the new European stock exchange. The London Metal Exchange traded a total of 5,141,904 lots in May 2001. This figure was made up of 4.874,981 lots of futures, 256,865 lots of options and 10,058 lots of TAPOs.

ICEX Announces Change In The ICEX-15 Index For The Second Half Of The Year 2001

ICEX-15, the main stock index of the Iceland Stock Exchange, includes 15 companies listed on the Main List. The selection of companies takes place twice a year, effective from 1 January and 1 July.

Chicago Stock Exchange Share Volume Shows Significant Growth

The CHX total share volume and OTC share volume significantly increased over May 2000. Total share volume increased by 28 percent and OTC share volume increased by 41 percent. Total trade volume and OTC trade volume held steady from a year ago.

The Chicago Board of Trade's 10-Year Treasury Note futures traded a record volume of 114,313 contracts on the a/c/e electronic platform on June 7, 2001. The previous record was 111,029 set on February 27, 2001.

AEX: Announcement Regarding Ring! Rosa Products N.V.

According to information received from the trustee in bankruptcy, no distribution can reasonably be expected to be made on the shares of Ring! Rosa Products N.V. In consultation with the trustee in bankruptcy, Euronext Amsterdam has therefore decided to delist the shares of Ring! Rosa Products N.V. as from 15 June 2001. The last trading day will be 14 June.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Surpasses Record 1999/00 Crop-Year Volume Levels In Futures, Options, And In Total Futures And Options Volume Levels Combined

Total futures and options pit-trade volume for the 2000/01 crop year-to-date, at 2,430,057 contracts, surpassed the previous crop year volume record with roughly eight weeks remaining in the crop year. As of the end of the month, current crop year-to-date pit-trade volume was 18.4% ahead of the same year-ago period. Through May, crop year-to-date pit trade volume for futures totaled 2,350,581 contracts, well ahead of the 1,989,474 contracts traded during the first ten months of the 1999/00 crop
