    The Administrative Court of Helsinki has decided on 7 September that HEX Group is entitled to a refund of the value added tax that Helsinki Stock Exchange Ltd paid in 1995 and 1996 on its services relating to stock exchange trading, other public trading and clearing.

  • 47 Funds Now Use The Oslo Børs Mutual Fund Index

    A total of 47 Norwegian mutual funds started to use the Oslo Børs Mutual Fund Index as their benchmark index from 1 September. This index takes into account the legal restrictions on investment allocation that apply to the majority of equity funds that invest in shares listed on Oslo Børs. The Mutual Fund Index shows a higher historical return than both the old All Share Index and the new Benchmark Index (OSEBX).

  • Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Sets Record Volume Levels During 2000/01 Fiscal Year

    Total futures and options pit trade during the fiscal year (September 1, 2000 to August 31, 2001) reached a record 2,925,700 contracts, compared to the previous record of 2,348,385 contracts set during the 1999/00 fiscal year.

    Total feed wheat volume levels have increased roughly 34.7% over the same time last month and by 49.4% over year ago levels. Market participants say that the increases in total volume levels for feed wheat is mainly due to uncertainty about the quality of this year's wheat crop in Canada.
