HKEx: Margin Rates Set For DJIA Futures Contract

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, has set margin rates for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) Futures contract, which will be introduced on Monday, 6 May 2002.

Cincinnati Stock Exchange Surpasses Boston, Chicago, And American Exchanges

In the first significant challenge to Nasdaq's dominance, The Cincinnati Stock Exchange has captured 10% of shares and 20% of trades in Nasdaq-listed issues. During the month of March, thanks to the addition of Island ECN as a customer, CSE's overall volume averaged almost 170 million shares a day. This makes Cincinnati the third largest equity market in the country, surpassing the Boston, Chicago, and American Stock Exchanges.

The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) today announced changes to its Guidelines for effective corporate governance. The TSX Venture Exchange also announced that Tier I issuers listed on TSX Venture will be required to disclose to their shareholders on an annual basis information about their corporate governance practices and processes, including why they believe their practices and processes are appropriate and effective for their organization.

In connection with the publication of the quarterly results (third-quarter report) 2001 of Logitech International S.A. on the 22th of January 2002 which may have resulted in a potential violation of Art. 72 of the Listing Rules, SWX Swiss Exchange has initiated a formal investigation. The duration of these investigative proceedings has not been de-termined. SWX shall provide information as to the outcome of its investigation. How-ever, no information will be made public with regard to the ongoin
