  • The Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong - Resignation Of Alec Tsui Is Confirmed

    Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx) confirmed today (Wednesday) that Mr Alec Tsui Yiu-wa had tendered his resignation as chief operating officer of the company, and chief executive of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Mr Tsui will leave on August 1.

  • The HKEx Chairman Elected And Committee Members Appointed

    At the inaugural board meeting today (Wednesday), members voted to appoint Mr Charles Lee Yeh-kwong as Chairman of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEx). The appointment of Mr Lee as Chairman will take effect subject to the written approval of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong.

  • Hong Kong Futures Exchange Announces US Treasuries To Be Accepted As Margin Collateral

    The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) has announced that the HKFE Clearing Corporation (HKCC) will accept US Treasury Bills and Notes from its Clearing Participants as margin collateral from 28 April 2000. In addition, Exchange Participants will be allowed to accept US Treasury Bills and Notes as margin collateral from their customers from the same date.

    The Board of Directors of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) at its recent meeting approved the listing of a new "E-mini" feeder cattle contract, a smaller-sized version of the CME's main feeder cattle product, that will trade on the exchange's GLOBEX®2 electronic trading system.
