    The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it issued an order further extending until May 12, 2002 the compliance dates for banks with respect to the broker-dealer registration requirements contained in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.     The Nasdaq Stock Market® today announced that daily volume on Nasdaq averaged 1.9 billion shares in the second quarter of this year, an 18.7 percent increase from 1.6 billion shares in the second quarter of 2000. Eleven of the 50 largest trading sessions ever on Nasdaq® occurred in the second quarter of 2001. Nasdaq also experienced its most active single session in the second quarter, when 3.19 billion shares were traded on April 18, 2001.
