The new market brings together London listed companies involved in leading edge technologies, creating a central focus for investors; streamlined rules will provide a wider range of young, innovative growth companies with access to the UK equity market.

LSE Issues Rule Revisions For Consultation

The London Stock Exchange today published a consultative document on proposed changes to the Listing Rules. The most significant proposal is the introduction of a new concessionary route to listing for innovative high growth companies without the normal three-year trading record.

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has been advised that the impact of Hurricane Floyd on the east coast may result in the early closing of one or more primary stock markets today, and may prevent one or more of these markets from opening on Friday. No decision has yet been made as to whether any markets may close early today or not open tomorrow.

AEX corporate actions policy on public bids

In the past month Amsterdam Exchanges has had to adjust the terms of listed derivatives (options, etc.) a number of times in connection with public bids for listed companies. Amsterdam Exchanges and the Securities Board of the Netherlands (Stichting Toezicht Effectenverkeer) expect that this will also be the case in the future.

Stock Exchange of Hong Kong GEM Expects First Listing in the Fourth Quarter

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong will now accept applications from potential issuers seeking listing on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM). It expects to have its first listing on GEM in the fourth quarter following the announcement of the GEM sponsor list today (Tuesday).

PHLX To Begin Trading Eleven New Options

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX) is pleased to announce that it will begin trading put and call options on Barrick Gold Corporation (ABX), Homestake Mining Company (HM), Kmart Corporation (KM), LSI Logic Corporation (LSI), Mellon Bank Corporation (MEL), and Philip Morris Companies, Inc. (MO), upon the opening of business on Wednesday, September 15, 1999.
