SGX Derivatives Contracts Break Records

Singapore Exchange (SGX) today announced that its derivatives market achieved four new records on 26 July 2001. The MSCI Taiwan futures contracts had a new daily trading volume record, the 5-year Singapore Government Bond Futures contract achieved a daily trading volume and open interest record, while the 3-month Singapore Dollar Interest Rate futures achieved a new open interest record. Pacific Exchange Votes To End Mandatory Payment For Order Flow Fee

The Pacific Exchange (PCX) announced today that its Board of Governors has voted to eliminate the mandatory marketing fee levied on PCX market makers since August 2000. The fee, 40 cents per contract, was applied to all equity options listed on the PCX and funded a payment for order flow program.

The Nasdaq Stock MarketĀ® today announced that it will implement the final phase of its new automated order execution system, SuperSoesSM, on Monday, July 30, 2001. From that day forward, orders for all 3,500-plus Nasdaq National MarketĀ® (NNM) securities will be automatically executed using SuperSoes.

Euronext Amsterdam To launch NSC On 29 October

Euronext today provided its market members with a detailed testing schedule for the migration of its cash markets to the NSC system. The migration will be completed by 29 October 2001. The new schedule was approved by all market participants.

CBOT 5-Year Note Volume Sets Record On a/c/e System

Chicago Board of Trade 5-Year U.S. Treasury note futures set a new volume record at 50,901 contracts on the a/c/e electronic trading platform on July 26, 2001, exceeding the previous high of 46,455 set on June 28, 2001.
