The New York Stock Exchange today announced the appointment of Margaret Tutwiler, U.S. Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, as Executive Vice President for Communications and Government Relations of the NYSE, effective July 12, 2004. Ambassador Tutwiler will assume responsibility for the Exchange’s communications, advertising, marketing, and government relations. She will also serve on the board of the New York Stock Exchange Foundation, Inc.
NYBOT To Launch New Norwegian Krone-Swedish Krona Currency Futures And Option Contract

The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today that its FINEX® Division will launch a new currency futures and option contract based on the Norwegian krone–Swedish krona. The futures currency contract will begin trading Friday, May 7, 2004, and the options will begin Monday, May 10, 2004.

Net income was $4.6 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2004 versus net income of $2.6 million for the first quarter of 2003, which includes continued and discontinued operations. Net income applicable to common shareholders for the first quarter 2004 was $1.8 million, or $0.02 per common share versus net income applicable to common shareholders of $1.9 m

CBOT To Launch When–Issued 2-Year Treasury Note Futures Contract

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced plans to launch a When-Issued (WI) 2-year U.S. Treasury note futures contract, a cash-settled product designed to replicate the volatility and trading processes driven by the U.S. Treasury’s monthly auction of 2-year notes. The CBOT WI futures contract will begin trading on May 14, 2004, exclusively on the exchange’s premier electronic trading platform.
