  • HKEx Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

    The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), announces that with effect from 8 November 2004 (Monday), nine additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 11 existing designated securities will be removed from the list. The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 228 after the revision.

    Based on the aggregate statistics, a total volume of € 251.4 billion was traded on the German stock exchanges in October, up approximately three percent m-o-m (September 2004: €245 billion). This total includes € 209.2 billion in equities, warrants, and exchange traded funds, as well as €42.2 billion in fixed-income securities.
