The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that the exchange's Precious Metals complex climbed to a new volume record on Tuesday, November 2, of 8,356 contracts, which represented nearly 7 percent of all exchange-traded precious metals in the United States. SEC Extends Time For Banks To Comply With Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act Broker Registration Requirements

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it issued an order further extending until March 31, 2005, the compliance dates for banks with respect to certain broker registration requirements contained in the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). October 2004 - Euronext Key Indicators - Euronext.Liffe Trades Over 676 Million Contracts Year-To-Date With Individual Equity Products Up 28% In The Year-To-Date - 11.5 Million Cash Transactions Completed In October - Up 6.2% On Last Month

Cash products 11.5 million transactions were registered on Euronext’s cash markets in October 2004, making the month the busiest since April this year. Although average daily volume was down 8.3 % on October 2003, the activity was up 6.2% on September 2004 and up 8.5% compared to the average of the six previous months. Since the beginning of the year 117 million transactions have been completed. This represents a daily average of 545,000.
