Boston Options Exhange First Day Volume In Spider Options

Archipelago Holdings, Inc. (PCX: AX) today announced its December 2004 market transaction volume data for the Archipelago Exchange ("ArcaEx"). Specifically, in NYSE - listed equity securities, ArcaEx's total trading market share was 2.3% in December 2004, up from 1.2% in December 2003 and down slightly from 2.4% in November 2004. The Securities and Exchange Commission and the New York Stock Exchange today announced the institution and settlement of enforcement proceedings against Southwest Securities, Inc., a Dallas, Texas based broker-dealer and investment adviser, and three of its managers. SEC Brings Fraud Charges Against Former CBS Marketwatch Columnist Thom Calandra For Illegal Trading Scheme

The Securities and Exchange Commission today brought and settled civil fraud charges against Thom Calandra, a former columnist for the Internet website CBS MarketWatch.com. The Commission alleges that Calandra profited by secretly selling stocks shortly after his investment newsletter's positive recommendations of the stocks caused their prices to rise. In settling the matter, Calandra, who lives in Sausalito, California, will pay over $540,000 in disgorgement and penalties.

RTS Realtime System Group Appoints New Head Of Global Sales

RTS Realtime System Group, announced the appointment of Mr Christian M. Schild (43) as Head of Global Sales within the RTS matrix organization. Schild joined the leading independent software vendor in May 2004. In this new role he will be responsible for all sales activities of the whole RTS group. In addition to this function he will be managing the UK business of RTS. He is directly reporting to Engelbert Gemuenden, chairman of the board.
