Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Securities) has made amendments to the Listing Requirements. The first category of amendments, referred to as Amendments in relation to ESOS relates to employee share schemes (ESOS) and affects both the Listing Requirements for the Main and Second Boards (LR) and the MESDAQ Market Listing Requirements (MMLR). Banc One Securities Corporation Fined $400,000 For Supervisory Failures Relating To Late Trading - NASD Also Cites Banc One For Inaccurate Recording Of Order Entry Times

NASD announced today that it has censured and fined Banc One Securities Corporation $400,000 for failing to implement adequate supervisory systems and written procedures designed to detect and prevent “late trading” of mutual funds, and for inaccurately recording the entry time for customer orders.

Ad-hoc Publicity: Preliminary Enquiries Against Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. Halted

In November 2004, the SWX Swiss Exchange announced that it had instituted preliminary enquiries against Swiss International Air Lines Ltd. (SWISS) with regard to a possible breach of Art. 72 of the Listing Rules (ad-hoc publicity). In the course of these enquiries, SWX concluded that SWISS did not breach the ad-hoc publicity rules. SWX has thus halted proceedings.

LME Announces Full Year Exchange Volumes For 2004

The London Metal Exchange (LME) has today announced the annual volume figures for 2004. The results reveal another successful year for the Exchange, maintaining the record levels set in 2003. Total lots traded were just under 72 million with a value of over $3,000 billion for 2004.

Eurex US, the fully-electronic U.S. futures and options exchange, today confirmed February 4 as the launch date for its new futures on the U.S. large-cap Russell 1000 index and the U.S. small-cap Russell 2000 index. The introduction of these products will expand Eurex US's product portfolio to include U.S. index derivatives for the first time.
