National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Signs Memorandum Of Understanding For Natural Gas Spot Trading

National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) and GAIL (India) Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 15th February 2005 in New Delhi. This will enable both the organizations to jointly work for the development of a spot market for natural gas in the country. The MoU was formally signed by Mr P.H. Ravikumar, MD & CEO, NCDEX Ltd and Dr U.D. Choubey, Director, Marketing, GAIL (India) Ltd.

Nasdaq Announces Closing Of Secondary Offering And Exercise Of Over-Allotment Option

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ®"; NASDAQ: NDAQ), announced today the closing of the secondary offering of common stock by NASD and certain other stockholders who purchased such shares in NASDAQ’s 2000 and 2001 private placements. In the offering, the managing underwriters have exercised the over-allotment option in full to purchase an additional 2,586,980 shares of NASDAQ’s common stock from NASD at the offering price of $9.00 per share. Meeting Of The Board Of Oslo Børs On 15 February 2005

At its meeting on 15 February 2005, the Board of Oslo Børs resolved to admit shares in Wilson ASA and Petrojack ASA to listing. At the same meeting the Board resolved to impose a violation charge on MediCult of twice the company’s annual listing fee for a breach of the duty to provide information.

International Securities Exchange Receives Independent Assurance Of Control Effectiveness

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that it has received an independent audit report prepared according to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Type II Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70). The report was prepared by Deloitte & Touche, LLP and includes an independent opinion that ISE's controls over its automated trading system are suitably designed and operate effectively.

Deutsche Börse: CCP Service Extended To Foreign Stocks And ETFs As Of May - Clearing And Settlement Fees For Foreign CCP Securities To Fall - Introduction Of A Uniform Price Structure For European CCP Securities - Processing Of Xetra OTC Transactions T

As of May, Deutsche Börse will be extending its Central Counterparty service for equities trading (CCP) on Xetra and the floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) to also cover transactions in foreign stocks and ETFs. Thus, Deutsche Börse will cut the clearing and settlement fees for foreign CCP securities, which can then be traded and settled at the same low price as German stocks. In addition, OTC transactions on Xetra are also scheduled to be included in the CCP service as of May.
