CME Achieves New Exchange-Wide Open Interest Record

CME, the largest U.S. futures exchange, set a new open interest record yesterday of 29,078,892 positions, excluding Total Return Asset ContractsSM (TRAKRS). The previous record of 28,628,529 positions was set on Wednesday, February 16. Open interest in CME’s interest rate products was a record 24,201,101 and accounted for much of the activity. Intentia International AB and Karolin Machine Tool AB (KMT) have both breached the listing agreement with Stockholm Stock Exchange.
