The purpose of this communication is to remind European issuers about the importance of giving clear and transparent disclosure when making use of any of the options made available to them by the applicable financial reporting standards and their decisions regarding the determination of accounting policies in the absence of specific IFRS guidance. This CESR statement is addressed in particular to European listed companies preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRSs

Approval Of NASDAQ Stock Market LLC Exchange Application

The Securities and Exchange Commission today approved the Nasdaq Stock Market LLC’s application to become a registered national securities exchange. The Nasdaq Stock Market is the first exchange to register with the Commission since the International Securities Exchange in 2000, and only the third exchange to register with the Commission in over 30 years.
"Gazprom" Trading Volume Reaches The All-Time High Of 26 Billion Rubles

On January 12th, 2006, trading volume in "Gazprom" common stock reached the all-time maximum of 25,99 billion rubles (or 912 million US dollars), 23,9% higher than the previous record posted on September 21st, 2005 (20,99 billion rubles or 738,8 million US dollars).
