Thai Alternative Market Index And Market Cap Up 22% And 52% From 2005

The Market for Alternative Investment (mai) reported that in 2006 investors paid more interest to small and medium-sized firms, helping boost mai’s Index and market capitalization significantly higher than end-2005. Twenty-four new listings are expected in 2007. mai also plans to tap potential companies in logistics and food and drugs industries. Among its marketing events planned for this year is the seminar scheduled for Jan. 25, named ”mai on Stage.”

CESR publishes today its first report to the European Commission on the compliance of the credit rating agencies with the IOSCO Code () following the Commission’s request. This draws to a culmination the outworking of this years work under the voluntary framework of cooperation between CESR and the Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) outlined in CESR’s website (Ref. CESR/05-751).

HKEx Extends Special Offer For Mainland China Users Of Real-Time Trading Information

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has extended its special offer for Mainland users of HKEx's real-time securities trading information. From 1 January 2007, fees for the Mainland China Discount Programme as per the table are in effect. The discounted monthly fee of $80 per device started from July 2002 and was due to end in December 2006. The regular monthly fee for the service is $200.
