The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) today reported net income for the fourth quarter of 2007 of $24.3 million, a 76 percent increase compared with $13.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2006. Total revenues for the quarter were up 43 percent to $93.0 million, from $64.9 million in last year's fourth quarter.

For the third time this month, the Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) spring wheat futures market produced a top daily electronic volume record. MGEX volume on the CME Globex® electronic platform Tuesday, Jan. 29 was 6,623 contracts, exceeding the previous record set on Wednesday, Jan. 23 by 99 contracts.
