Deutsche Börse: Equities Turnover Up By Around 9 Percent In September - Number Of Xetra Transactions Up By 11 Percent To 8.29 Million

According to order book statistics, trading volume on German stock exchanges in September increased year-on-year by around 7 percent to €147.1 billion (September 2005: €137.06 billion). Equities turnover showed disproportionately strong growth of around 9 percent to €136 billion (September 2005: €124.5 billion). €128.9 billion was attributable to German equities and €7.1 billion to foreign equities.

David L. Grove Elected As Vice Chairman Of The Chicago Stock Exchange And CHX Holdings

The Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX) announced today that David L. Grove has been elected as Vice Chairman of the Exchange and of CHX Holdings, the 100% shareholder of CHX. Mr. Grove is the Chief Executive Officer of E*TRADE Capital Markets Execution Services. Mr. Grove has been a member of the Board of Directors of the CHX and CHX Holdings since April 2004 and February 2005, respectively.

BA-CA A Full Member On The Warsaw Stock Exchange

Bank Austria Creditanstalt (BA-CA) a member of Unicredit Group, has become a full member on the equity and the derivatives market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. A direct line has been set up between the trading floors of BA-CA in Vienna and the Warsaw Stock Exchange, thus enabling Austrian and international clients to efficiently trade in Polish equities. BA-CA activity will begin on the cash market, and soon after will be broadened for derivatives market.

In September trading in equities on the Spanish market through SIBE was 39% up on the same month in 2005. The value of trading on Latibex in September came in at € 51 million, 9% more than in the same month last year and exceeding the annual figure for 2005.
