Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox today announced the appointment of George Curtis as the Regional Director of the Commission's Central Regional Office (CRO). As Regional Director, Curtis will oversee the office's enforcement and examination functions in Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming and New Mexico. The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ ® "; Nasdaq: NDAQ), today reported third quarter 2006 net income of $30.2 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, an increase of 69.7% from $17.8 million, or $0.16 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2005, and 81.9% from $16.6 million, or $0.13 per diluted share, in the second quarter of 2006.
