Euronext Named Exchange Of The Year In Structured Products' European Awards 2006 - Strong Growth For Structured Products On Euronext

Euronext, the pan-European stock exchange, is delighted to have been named Exchange of the Year in Structured Products magazine's European Awards for 2006. This is welcome recognition for the work Euronext has put in and the effective innovation it has deployed in the field of listed structured products including warrants, certificates and structured funds.

The Spanish Exchange today began to trade 57 new warrants issued by Commerzbank. With this incorporation the number of warrants issued by Commerzbank so far this year amounts to 1,172, it becoming the most active issuing entity for this asset class on the Spanish stock exchange.

A total of £3.5 billion was raised by companies undertaking an IPO on the London Stock Exchange’s markets in October, up 40 per cent on the same month last year. This takes the total money raised through IPOs on the Exchange’s market to £22.3 billion so far this year, more than any other exchange.
