Monthly Trading Statements For BME Markets - Trading Volumes On The Spanish Exchange Reached € 137.34 Bn In January, 40% Up On The Year

Monthly record high in equity trading: equity turnover as well as the number of trades up 39.6% and 50.3% respectively on January 2006. The number of trades on the ETF segment increased 64% on the previous month. Warrant and Certificate turnover in January 2007 was 48.8% up on the same month last year. Cash products Euronext cash markets registered their busiest month ever in January 2007 with 23.1 million transactions completed, up 24.1% on the same month last year, surpassing the previous record level of 22.1 million transactions registered in May 2006.
