Monthly Trading Statements For BME Markets - Trading Volumes On The Spanish Exchange Reached € 137.34 Bn In January, 40% Up On The Year

Monthly record high in equity trading: equity turnover as well as the number of trades up 39.6% and 50.3% respectively on January 2006. The number of trades on the ETF segment increased 64% on the previous month. Warrant and Certificate turnover in January 2007 was 48.8% up on the same month last year. Cash products Euronext cash markets registered their busiest month ever in January 2007 with 23.1 million transactions completed, up 24.1% on the same month last year, surpassing the previous record level of 22.1 million transactions registered in May 2006. SEC Votes To Propose Expansion Of Interactive Data Voluntary Program - Also Votes To Propose Rules Regarding Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to publish for comment rule amendments that would expand the agency's interactive data voluntary program to enable mutual funds to submit data tagged risk/return summary information. The Commission also voted to propose rules required under the Credit Rating Agency Reform Act of 2006.
