Patsystems Plc Signs Contract To Provide Front-End System To Midas Securities LLC

MidasTrade.com Inc through its wholly owned subsidiary Midas Securities LLC., has been providing Korean brokers and dealers with direct access to the US equities market since 2002. In 2006, they expanded their Midas GDAN, Global Direct Access Network, to include access to futures & commodities markets for Korean futures trading companies and brokers via Patsystems’ trading front-end, J-Trader.

HKFE Announces Revised Margins For China Mobile Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Friday, 5 January 2007, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

Based on the total turnover statistics, a total volume of €361.8 billion was traded on all stock exchanges in Germany in December 2006 – a rise of 16 percent year-on-year (December 2005: €313 billion). This total included €327.1 billion in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds, as well as €34.7 billion in fixed-income securities. Eurex Trading Volume Of 105 Million Contracts In December 2006 - Record Result For The Year As A Whole With More Than 1.526 Billion Contracts

Eurex, the international derivatives market, closed out 2006 with record turnover of more than 1.526 billion contracts (2005: 1.25 billion contracts), and thus remains the largest derivatives exchange in the world. Eurex grew by approximately 22 percent year-on-year in 2006. 105 million contracts were traded in December 2006, up by 22.5 percent on December 2005, when the number of contracts traded totaled 86 million. In 2006, an average of 6 million contracts were traded on Eurex every day.
