The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that 2006 was the busiest year in CBOE's 33-year history as trading volume totaled 674.7 million contracts, an increase of 44% over 2005's volume of 468.2 million contracts. Average daily volume for the year reached a new all-time high of 2.7 million contracts, up 45% over 2005's average daily volume of 1.9 million contracts.

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) ended 2006 with record annual volume and a record membership sale. Calendar year 2006 volume exceeded the previous year by 16.4 percent closing the year with total volume of 1,655,034 futures and options contracts traded.

KCBT Sets New Wheat And Annual Volume Records - Kansas City Board Of Trade Sets New Exchange, Wheat Futures Volume Records In 2006

The Kansas City Board of Trade set new annual volume records for the exchange as a whole and for the wheat futures contract in 2006. Total exchange volume for 2006 amounted to 5,287,190 contracts, breaking the previous record of 3,953,536 contracts set last year by 33.7 percent.

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that it will change margins for the heating oil, New York Harbor heating oil calendar swap, heating oil financial, and NYMEX miNYTM heating oil futures contracts and the RBOB gasoline, RBOB calendar swap, RBOB gasoline financial, and NYMEX miNY RBOB gasoline futures contracts, effective at the close of business tomorrow.

Winnipeg Commodity Exchange Inc. ("WCE") total volume of trade for December 2006 is the highest on record for the month of December. There was a total of 302,443 futures and options contracts traded during the month, representing increases of 39.5% from last month and 10.7% from December 2005.
