  • TOCOM To Launch A Gold Mini Contract On 17 July

    The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) has today (June 25, 2007) received the approval from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to modify its rules and regulations, including the Articles of Incorporation and the Market Rules, with regards to the introduction of a cash-settled gold futures transaction (referred to as the “Gold Mini contract”). TOCOM has set July 17th, 2007 as the starting date for trading the Gold Mini contract.

  • June 2007 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

    The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was down 1.06% for the month of June. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Wheat, Cotton and Heating Oil had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 13.79%, 7.58% and 7.55%, respectively. The worst three performing single commodity indexes were Nickel, Natural Gas and Corn, which were down 18.58%, 10.08%, and 5.53%, respectively, in June.

  • Tokyo Financial Exchange: Rollover Of Leading Contract Month For Three-Month Euroyen Futures(Effective From 22 June 2007)

    Tokyo Financial Exchange has decided to shift the leading contract month for Euroyen futures from the current December 2007 contracts to the March 2008 contracts, effective from 22 June 2007.
