International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ISE) today announced that David Krell, ISE's President and Chief Executive Officer, will retire on January 1, 2008. Upon his retirement, Mr. Krell will remain on ISE's Board of Directors, and the Board intends to elect Mr. Krell as its Chairman, pending required approvals. Equity Turnover on the SIBE platform in the first quarter came in at € 417.83 bn, 54.6% up on the same month last year. Equity trading in March on the ETFs segment increased 161.7% on the previous month. MEFF trading reached 6,097,284 contracts; highlights include two record highs: IBEX 35 Futures, at 805,225 contracts and Mini IBEX 35 Futures, at 279,941 contracts, 59% and 111% up on the year respectively. The Frankfurt Stock Exchange will be introducing a new segmentation structure for trading in around 14,000 bonds from 2 April onwards. The segments will differ in terms of execution time, spread and quote traffic. The Prime Bonds premium segment will guarantee maximum spreads of 5 cents, while the prices shall apply for orders of up to €250,000. The Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) has been granted Part 30 Exemption by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on March 28, 2007. The exemption opens the gate for designated TAIFEX members to market TAIFEX products directly to the U.S. investors.
