The NYSE Composite Index® (NYA) closed today at a new high of 9697.34. Reaching a new record 11 times during the first quarter of 2007 and 19 times in 2007 year-to-date, the NYSE Composite gained 6.2% in the first-quarter 2007 as compared to the same period last year.

Statement From The MTS Supervisory Board Regarding Third Party Access Discussion

During today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board received and discussed the report prepared by Dr. Benn Steil on Third Party Access. Although the Supervisory Board generally supports the view that it is desirable to liberalize the access of the market to third parties as a way to enhance the liquidity, it concluded that further work is needed to address some of the concerns arising from this opening as well as to promote a consensual implementation.
