November 2008 Monthly Preliminary Performance Report Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Indexes

The Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index was down -7.75% for the month of November. The Dow Jones-AIG Single Commodity Indexes for Zinc, Gold and Lean Hogs had the strongest gains with month-to-date returns of 4.67%, 2.28% and 1.34%, respectively. The three most significant downside performing single commodity indexes were Unleaded Gas, Crude Oil and Lead, which were down -25.28%, -21.00% and -18.92% respectively, in November.
Equity Trading On RTS Suspended For An Hour

Due to the technical index going down by more than 5% as compared to its closing value, equity trading based on the indirect orders was halted for an hour at 1:35 pm Moscow time.

NASDAQ Dubai yesterday listed equity derivatives for the first time. The instruments, created by the exchange itself, consist of futures contracts on an index of UAE shares created by FTSE International, and futures contracts on 21 individual shares listed on UAE exchanges.

Euroclear To Acquire Xtrakter From ICMA

Euroclear and the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) signed an agreement whereby Euroclear SA/NV will acquire 100% of Xtrakter Ltd, the ICMA subsidiary, for an undisclosed cash amount. Xtrakter owns TRAX, a trade matching and regulatory reporting system that also provides market and reference data.
