Chi-X Europe Granted FSA License For Off-Exchange Trade Reporting - Monthly Trade Reporting Service Available For £210 Per Month - No Charge For Market Data, Licenses, Data Feeds Or Message Traffic

Chi-X(®) Europe Limited, a pan-European equity alternative trading system (ATS), today announced that it has been granted Trade Data Monitor (TDM) authorization by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), enabling Chi-X Europe to offer its participants a trade reporting service for Chi-X Europe trades, as well as a broad range of OTC equity trades.

On Oct. 12, 2007, the open interest in the Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) futures contract on ZCE (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange) peaked at 98964 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 82036 contracts set on Oct. 11, 2007.

In a bid to regulate accounting changes made by listed companies and curb such abuses for profit manipulation, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on October 10 issued the No.7 Guidelines for Information Disclosure on Changes in Accounting Policies and Accounting Estimates, setting out different approval procedures for changes in accounting policies incurred by compulsory regulations, proprietary accounting policies, and accounting estimates.

ISE Update On Market Outage

The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) today experienced a power disruption at its New Jersey site which resulted in the temporary suspension of trading in both the options and stock exchanges at 10:16 AM. The ISE maintained communications with members throughout and re-opened the stock exchange at 11:30 AM and the options exchange at 12:00 PM. ISE has undertaken a thorough review of the cause of the issue and will take all necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.
