SIFMA Releases Amended And Restated Money Market Trading Practice Guidelines

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today released amended and restated Money Market Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) adopted and approved by the SIFMA Money Market Executive Committee as of October 23, 2007. These Guidelines supersede and replace the Money Market Trading Practice Guidelines dated October 8, 1996 (the “1996 Guidelines”).

Tokyo Commodity Exchange: Modification Of Rules & Regulations Following Extension Of Trading Hours

The current trading sessions at TOCOM are from 9:00 to 11:00 for the morning session and from 12:30 to 15:30 for the afternoon session. The Exchange will extend its trading hours by two hours, with a closing time for the afternoon session at 17:30 instead of 15:30. The Exchange has received approval from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry to modify its Market Rules and Brokerage Rules accordingly. The said modifications will be implemented on and after January 7th, 2008.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange "Loss Cut" System To Apply To All Products

Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen): Standard Terms And Conditions For Financial Services

Finansinspektionen (FI) and Konsumentverket (KOV) received an assignment in their letters of appropriation from the Government to “investigate the existence of standard terms and conditions between consumers and firms in the financial sector”. The assignment further entails analysing additional needs for and deficiencies in this area and suggesting or implementing appropriate measures.
