    The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the appointment of Kevin Goodman as the Associate Regional Director for Examinations in its Denver Regional Office. Mr. Goodman, who currently holds the position of Assistant Regional Director for Examinations in the Los Angeles Regional Office, will transfer to the Denver office and oversee its examination activities in the region's seven-state territory.

    U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox on Friday, while at meetings of the International Organization of Securities Commissions, concluded a week of bilateral discussions with securities regulators from Japan, China, Korea, Canada and Australia focused, among other things, on timetables for implementation of interactive data initiatives for financial reporting.

    OJSC "IC RUSS-INVEST” and LLC “Spectr Invest” have joined the delivery-versus-payment (DVP) system without prior depositing of assets with the settlement in US dollars. Starting from September 17, 2007 the use of this technology by the RTS Trading participants has become possible not only for settling the trades at the expense of clients non-residents, but also at the expense of own funds of trading participants.

    The International Securities Exchange (NYSE:ISE) announced that its options exchange set a new record daily trading volume of 6,920,132 equity and index options contracts on Thursday, November 8, 2007, surpassing the previous record of 6,532,403 contracts traded on August 16, 2007.
