Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, August 8, 2008: Whistler Gold Corp. (TSXVN:WGC) will trade under the new name Svit Gold Corp. There is no consolidation of capital. The shares will trade under the new ticker symbol "SDP" and the new CUSIP number 78487U 10 1.

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement today announced a preliminary settlement in principle with UBS Securities LLC and UBS Financial Services, Inc. (collectively, UBS) including proposed charges and a plan that would restore approximately $22 billion in liquidity to its customers who invested in auction rate securities (ARS). This plan includes approximately $8.2 billion for individual investors, small businesses, and charitable organizations, $3.3 billion for holders
