On Oct. 23, 2008, the open interest of the rapeseed oil futures contract on ZCE (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange) peaked at 113218 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 109060 contracts set on Oct. 22, 2008.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today welcomed the decision of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in Morrison v. National Australia Bank, Ltd. In this case, a set of foreign plaintiffs sued a foreign issuer based on securities transactions in foreign countries for violations of U.S. securities laws. The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has reached agreements in principle with City National Securities (CNS), of Beverly Hills, CA, BNY Mellon Capital Markets, LLC of New York and Harris Investor Services, Inc. of Chicago, to settle charges relating to the sale of Auction Rate Securities (ARS). Each of the principle agreements is subject to being formalized in an approved settlement document called a Letter of Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC).
