SEC Reopens Comment Period On Proposal For Model Privacy Form Under Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it has reopened the public comment period on a proposal for a model privacy form that financial institutions could use to provide disclosures required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). The Commission is reopening the comment period in order to solicit public comment on the results of recent quantitative consumer testing conducted to evaluate the form.

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced today that it charged Stuart W. Jones, Payton Lowe, and WeCorp, Inc. (WeCorp), all of Hilo and Honolulu, Hawaii, with soliciting approximately $1.5 million from more than 20 people to trade off-exchange foreign currency (forex) contracts, but instead used the money to lease a lavish Honolulu home, luxurious cars, and other purchases.
