Bank Of England: Bank Rate Maintained At 4.75% - December 2024

The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) sets monetary policy to meet the 2% inflation target, and in a way that helps to sustain growth and employment. The MPC adopts a medium-term and forward-looking approach to determine the monetary stance required to achieve the inflation target sustainably.
At its meeting ending on 18 December 2024, the MPC voted by a majority of 6–3 to maintain Bank Rate at 4.75%. Three members preferred to reduce Bank Rate by 0.25 percentage points, to 4.5%.

Correction: Market Cap Segment Review At Nasdaq Nordic Exchanges

Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) reports that the annual review of its Nordic market capitalization (market cap) segments is completed. The revision is based on the average market cap value in November 2024. Together with indexes and sector classifications, the market cap segmentation is a tool to increase visibility for companies listed on Nasdaq’s exchanges in Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen and Iceland.

The Capital Market Authority (CMA) announces the launch of the fourth batch of the Research Agenda Program for 2025, in its new and comprehensive form, with the establishment of the scientific committee formed by the CMA's Board last July, and the amendment of the mechanism for receiving research proposals to be in 3 periods during the year, in addition to identifying a number of proposed research areas for the fourth edition.
